Adore You by Hope Moses
Photographer Hope Moses’ series “Adore You” encaptures women in their bodies and when they feel the most beautiful. The goal of Moses’ project is to show that “what is beautiful to you may not be beautiful to others. And that is okay.”
According to Moses, beauty can be found in everything.
This particular image features Moses’ friend, Sydney Busch, modeling with her legs exposed. For Busch in particular, her legs are large insecurity of hers. Moses’ said that “she [Busch] really dislikes her legs because they are so strong and muscular and societally, women aren’t supposed to be strong because it isn’t feminine.”
Moses continued by saying “What we did, was that we tried to make a statement that first: we shouldn’t subscribe to feminine and masculine things. It keeps us in boxes, but even if we were to subscribe to those ideals, being muscular is just as much of a feminine thing as it is masculine.”
